MOSCOW, February 28. /TASS/. Rossiya Airlines has adjusted the operation of several flights to and from St. Petersburg due to the restriction of the use of airspace over the city, a representative of the airline told TASS.
"Due to the information received from the State Committee on ATM (air traffic management - TASS) about the restriction of the use of airspace at the moment, Rossiya Airlines has adjusted the operation of several flights: FV 6018 Vnukovo-Pulkovo has been sent back to the airport of departure. The following flights are expected to be delayed from Pulkovo: FV 6105 to Nizhny Novgorod, FV 6325 to Kaliningrad, FV 6019 Vnukovo, FV 6565 Sochi, FV 6569 Sochi, FV 6447 Kirovsk.
The airline noted that passengers of delayed flights will be provided with services in accordance with federal aviation rules and airline standards.
Earlier on Tuesday, a source familiar with the telegram of Russia’s Federal Agency for Air Transport (Rosaviatsiya) told TASS that airspace within a radius of 200 km around St. Petersburg's Pulkovo Airport is closed until 13:20 Moscow time.
