Four Russian vaccines against novel coronavirus have been registered in the country by now

MOSCOW, June 30. /TASS/. All Russian vaccines against COVID-19 are absolutely harmless, and some of these jabs don’t cause any symptoms, including high temperature, Russian President Vladimir Putin said during his Q&A session, known as the Direct Line.

In a comment on the TV presenter’s remark that Russians should get vaccinated with Sputnik V, which Putin has chosen for himself, he said: "No not necessary at all. I repeat that Vector’s EpiVacCorona does not cause even temperature. There are no reactions at all, people do not even notice that they received the jab. This is also important for some people," Putin said, stressing that all Russian vaccines "are absolutely harmless."

Russia launched mass vaccination of citizens above 18 years of age on January 18. Four Russian vaccines against COVID-19 have been registered in the country now. Among them are Sputnik V and Sputnik Light developed by the Gamaleya Research Institute of Epidemiology and Microbiology of the Russian Health Ministry, EpiVacCorona by the Vector Center of the Federal Service for Surveillance on Consumer Rights Protection and Human Wellbeing, and CoviVac of the Chumakov Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

Sputnik V, EpiVacCorona and CoviVac are two-dose vaccines, and Sputnik Light is a single-dose vaccine.
