MOSCOW, December 9. /TASS/. The participants of the special military operation in Ukraine are worthy successors of the military traditions of veterans of World War II and the Russian Armed Forces, President Vladimir Putin said.

Speaking in his video address to the Russian Young Army military-patriotic congress, he noted that the participants of the movement actively assist volunteers and search missions, take care of the elderly and support those in need in both word and deed.

"You join the implementation of projects, addressed to the participants of the special military operation - worthy successors of the military traditions of World War II veterans and veterans of the Russian Armed Forces," the head of state said.
