Russia’s PM discusses UN response to global threats with Guterres

The 29th UN Climate Change Conference (COP 29) is being held in Baku on November 11-22

BAKU, November 13. /TASS/. Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin stressed how important it is to increase the efficiency of the United Nations in responding to global challenges and threats at a meeting with UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, the Russian premier’s office said.

Mishustin also confirmed Russia’s commitment to "ensuring constructive participation of the United Nations in building a fair multipolar world order based on the rule of international law and respect for the sovereignty and mutual interests of all states."

Mishustin and Guterres met on the sidelines of an international climate event underway in Baku.

The 29th UN Climate Change Conference (COP 29) is being held in Baku on November 11-22. Delegates from more than 100 countries are taking part to discuss developing smart solutions to fight the aftermath of global warming.
