MOSCOW, February 28. /TASS/. Russia's Central Election Commission will make public the results of the March 17 presidential election no later than March 28, the commission's deputy chairman Nikolay Bulayev has said.
"The deadline for summarizing the election results is defined by the legislation - no later than 10 days after the voting. It is calculated very easily. If I am correct - March 28," Bulayev said at the commission's meeting.
He noted that the CEC would form a working group responsible for all activities related to determining the results of the presidential election. The working group will include all members of Russia’s CEC with voting rights, as well as heads and representatives of a number of CEC departments.
Bulayev added that based on the results of the working group's activities, a report on the presidential election would be drawn up and the CEC would then decide on the results.
The Federation Council has scheduled the election for March 17, 2024. The Central Election Commission decided that the voting will last three days: March 15, 16 and 17. It will be the first three-day presidential election in Russia.
