Russian air defenses down three drones over Kursk Region, governor says

One more unmanned aerial vehicle had been downed over the region's Kurchatovsky District

KURSK, January 9. /TASS/. Russian air defenses have reportedly downed three unmanned aerial vehicles over the Kursk Region, Governor Roman Starovoit said.

"According to preliminary reports, air defenses have downed three fixed-wing drones over the Kursk Region," he wrote on Telegram.

The governor added later that one more unmanned aerial vehicle had been downed over the Kurchatovsky District.

The Russian Defense Ministry, in turn, said in a statement that four drones had been destroyed over the Kursk Region and two more had been intercepted over the Oryol Region.
