MOSCOW, December 14. /TASS/. Moldova's participation in the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) represents nothing of great value for Russia, President Vladimir Putin said at his combined Direct Line Q&A and year-end press conference.
"Let them do whatever they want to. The presence of this country in the CIS holds no great value for us," the Russian president said.
Moscow is not "rejecting" anyone or "pushing anyone away," Putin noted. "If they want to work [with us and others in this format], we are happy for it; but if they don’t, then that’s their choice," the president said.
