Ukraine’s army fires about 65 shells at Russia’s borderline Belgorod Region over past day

According to Regional Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov, Russian air defenses also shot down three Ukrainian aircraft-type drones over the Belgorodsky district on December 5

BELGOROD, December 6. /TASS/. The Ukrainian military fired about 65 various munitions at the Belgorod Region bordering Ukraine and carried out several drone attacks over the past day, Regional Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov said on his Telegram channel on Wednesday.

"In the Belgorodsky district, six artillery shells were fired at the village of Zhuravlyovka, ten shells at the village of Naumovka and three shells at the village of Krasny Khutor. In Naumovka and Krasny Khutor, Ukrainian drones dropped an explosive in each of these settlements. There are no casualties or damage in these communities," the governor said.

Russian air defenses also shot down three Ukrainian aircraft-type drones over the Belgorodsky district on December 5. The drone fragments that fell in the village of Repnoye damaged a car and an electric power line, he said.

In the Borisovsky district, the Ukrainian military shelled the outskirts of the farmstead Lozovaya Rudka from a mortar, with three mortar rounds hitting the area. In the Valuisky urban district, three and six mortar rounds were fired against the villages of Logachyovka and Verigovka, respectively, the governor said.

In the Volokonovsky district, the Ukrainian military shelled the outskirts of the farmstead Stary, with six mortar rounds hitting the area. In the Graivoronsky urban district, the outskirts of the village of Poroz came under artillery fire on December 5, with 19 shells hitting the area. In the Krasnoyaruzhsky district, the Ukrainian military fired two artillery shells against the outskirts of the village of Repyakhovka, he said.

In the Shebekino district, the Ukrainian military dropped a fragmentation shell from a drone in the village of Novaya Tavolzhanka and fired three mortar rounds against the farmstead Pankov, two mortar rounds against the village of Leninsky and two mortar rounds against the farmstead Mukhin, the governor said.

"In the village of Sereda, two FPV drones were observed. There are no casualties or damage in any of the district’s communities," he said.
