MBABANE /Kingdom of Eswatini/, January 24. /TASS/. Russia in principle does not interfere in the internal politics of other countries and considers any development in Eswatini as a purely domestic matter of that country, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said at a press conference following talks with the Kingdom of Eswatini’s top diplomat, Thuli Dladla.
"Our principled position is that we do not meddle in the domestic affairs of other countries, including the current situation and the possible development of future events, so I cannot comment on any speculation in the local media on this account," the Russian top diplomat noted.
He stressed that during the talks, the sides "discussed in a positive way what else could be done towards fostering good bilateral relations and friendly dialogue, in the interests of creating the best atmosphere for implementing mutually beneficial projects in industry, agriculture, in the sphere of information and communication technologies and the digital economy, as well as in other areas."
"And we managed to achieve a result," Lavrov noted.
