MOSCOW, January 24. /TASS/. It is impossible to "rock the boat" in Russia because President Vladimir Putin is supported by a much larger number of people than illegal protests draw, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov said in an interview with "Moscow. Kremlin. Putin" program on Rossiya-1 TV channel.

In comment on the "so-called revelation" about Putin's alleged palace, the Kremlin spokesman noted that it is beneficial to "those who want to continue rocking the boat," however, "in fact, this is not happening."

"Now many people will say that a lot of people attended unauthorized rallies. No, there were few people, a lot of people vote for Putin," Peskov said, recalling that many citizens had also backed the constitutional amendments. "If you compare the figures, you will understand how few people are involved in the protests," the spokesman stated.

At the same time, he stressed that "they are also Russian citizens." "I respect all points of view, but I am strongly against participation in unauthorized events because there can be no other evaluation there - it is a violation of the law," the Kremlin spokesman stressed.
