Iceland hit by 5.3-magnitude earthquake

STOCKHOLM, April 1. /TASS/. A magnitude 5.3 earthquake has struck Iceland, said the European-Mediterranean Seismological Center.

It said the epicenter was located 103 km southwest of Reykjavik, where 118,000 people live. The epicenter was located at a depth of 1 km.

No information was given about casualties or damage.
