Ukrainian shelling of Belgorod damages four medical facilities, injures two people

TASS, March 22. Four medical facilities were damaged and two people were injured following Ukrainian shelling of Russia’s Belgorod, Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov said.

Earlier, he reported that three medical facilities had been damaged.

"Four medical facilities are damaged in Belgorod as a result of a Ukrainian airstrike," he wrote on his Telegram channel, adding that two people were injured.

"According to preliminary data, two people were injured: a woman has a shrapnel wound of the lower limb, and a man has a closed head injury. They were taken to the city hospital, where doctors are providing them with all necessary medical care," the head of the region pointed out.

Gladkov added that a woman was killed in an airstrike: she was walking her dogs in the street. "The shell exploded a few meters from her. She died of her wounds on the spot. One of the dogs died, the other has already been taken away by the woman's daughter. I express my sincere condolences to the family and friends of the deceased resident," the regional head said.

According to him, 31 apartments in five apartment buildings, one private house and four medical facilities were damaged in Belgorod. Twelve cars were also damaged, four of them completely burned.

Earlier, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that air defenses destroyed eight Vampire MLRS rockets over the Belgorod Region on March 22.
