Drone crashes at military airbase in Kaluga Region causing no casualties — governor

MOSCOW, October 7. /TASS/. An unmanned aerial vehicle has crashed at the Shaykovka military airdrome in the Kaluga Region, causing no casualties. There are suspicions that drone had flown in from the state border, Governor Vladislav Shapsha said on his Telegram channel on Friday.

"Today, an explosion occurred at the Shaykovka military airfield in the Kaluga Region. It was caused by a drone that had presumably flown in from the state border. There were no casualties," Shapsha wrote.

According to the governor, neither infrastructure nor equipment were damaged. There is no threat to the airdrome’s operation. Investigators are probing into the circumstances of the incident.
