More than half of Russian companies already implementing AI — PM

The integration of AI-based components into automated design and manufacturing management platforms is becoming standard, Mikhail Mishustin noted

NIZHNY NOVGOROD, May 18. /TASS/. More than half of domestic enterprises are already implementing artificial intelligence (AI) technologies in their work, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin told a conference.

He drew attention to the market of artificial intelligence. "In Russia, it is expanding almost twice as fast as the rest of the information technology sector. More than half of enterprises are already actively involved in implementing such technologies. So far, only a few have reached the stage of industrial exploitation, which means the growth potential is even higher," the premier said.

The integration of AI-based components into automated design and manufacturing management platforms is becoming standard, he noted. "Computer vision modules, predictive analytics, and machine learning-based recommendation services are already being used in Russian industry now. This allows for better forecasting of all processes as the system suggests optimal purchasing, repair schedules, and supply chains," Mishustin added.
