MOSCOW, March 22. /TASS/. The X5 Group, which manages Pyaterochka, Perekrestok, and Chizhik retail chains, increased its net profit under IFRS in 2023 by 72.8% year-on-year to 90.284 bln rubles ($985.24 mln) under IFRS 17 standards, the company said on Friday.
The retailer's EBITDA increased by 15% and amounted to 214.764 bln rubles ($2,34 bln), revenue increased by 20.8% to 3.146 trillion rubles ($34.5 bln). EBITDA margin amounted to 6.8% against 7.2% a year earlier.
In the Q4, X5's net profit increased 3.3-fold to 19.034 bln rubles ($208.75 mln). EBITDA increased by 48.1% to 53.062 bln rubles ($581.9 mln), revenue - by 25% to 881.216 bln rubles ($9.66 bln). EBITDA margin in the Q4 was 6% against 5.1% in October-December 2022.
X5 Group is the leading Russian retailer in terms of revenue. As of December 31, 2023, the company managed 24,472 stores, including 21,308 Pyaterochka stores, 972 Perekrestok supermarkets, and 1,500 Chizhik discounters.
