MOSCOW, February 28. /TASS/. Sber proposed creating an association of banks of the BRICS countries on cybersecurity, which could help find new economic opportunities and boost the development of technology, First Deputy Chairman of the Board of Sber Alexander Vedyakhin said.
"When discussing a sustainable future, it is critical not to forget about cybersecurity. This is another common goal for the BRICS countries, hence Sber suggests, among other things, establishing a BRICS bank cybersecurity association. Such collaborative work will help uncover new economic prospects along the road of sustainable development and will offer a boost to the development of business, technology, and a fair energy transition," he said.
On January 1, 2024, Russia became the chairman of BRICS, and five more members joined the union.
