Russians ready to pay extra for apartment with smart features — poll

Smart speakers are the most in demand among Russians (30% of responses), followed by CCTV systems (19%) and smart lighting systems (14%)

MOSCOW, January 16. /TASS/. Russians are ready to pay a little extra for a flat that is equipped with smart devices, according to a survey conducted by the A2:Research center.

The poll conducted among 1,200 Russians showed the popularity of such devices - half of respondents currently use them. The majority of those polled believe smart devices make life at home much easier and every sixth person uses them to help with everyday tasks. The poll, which was conducted from December 2023-January 2024, surveyed residents living in cities with a population of over one million people between the ages of 18 and 55.

Two-fifths of Russians say they would pay extra money for a home furnished with smart devices. Smart speakers are the most in demand among Russians (30% of responses), followed by CCTV systems (19%) and smart lighting systems (14%).
