MOSCOW, January 10. /TASS/. Fertilizer trading at the St. Petersburg International Mercantile Exchange (SPIMEX) surged by almost 1.5 times to 115,000 metric tons in 2023, the bourse said.
"Major mineral fertilizer producers currently offer their products through exchange trading. The biggest sellers are PhosAgro, Uralchem and Kuibyshevazot," SPIMEX reported. Ammonium nitrate, urea, monoammonium phosphate, and basic types of NPK fertilizers are traded via the commodity exchange.
SPIMEX is the largest mercantile exchange in Russia, trading in oil products, crude oil, liquefied petroleum gas, lumber, building materials and fertilizers, as well as in the futures and options market.
