Gas consumption in Russia to rise by around 4% in 2023 — Novak

"We see growth of consumption of petroleum products by around 2.7-2.8%," the deputy prime minister added

MOSCOW, December 27. /TASS/. Gas consumption in Russia will rise by around 4% by the end of 2023, while consumption of petroleum products will add 2.7-2.8%, Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak said in an interview aired by the Rossiya-24 TV news channel.

"Gas consumption will rise by around 4%," he said. "We see growth of consumption of petroleum products by around 2.7-2.8%," Novak added, noting that "this all highlights positive changes particularly in the economy of the country."

"All-time records related to growth of consumption of gas and supplies to the local market were hit this year, with 1.7 bln cubic meters per day delivered during the peak period," the official stressed.
