Ruble’s share in international payments grows to 35% — Putin

The Russian leader highlighted importance of creating the independent financial payment infrastructure and expansion of national currencies’ use in trade

MOSCOW, December 21. /TASS/. The ruble share in Russian international payments doubled to 35%, President Vladimir Putin said at a meeting of the Council for Strategic Development and National Projects.

"Compared to 2021, the ruble share in our international settlements doubled and stands at 35% now," the Russian leader said. "This share reaches 75% together with currencies of friendly countries," he added.
