Russia, Kazakhstan working on 40 major projects worth over $16 bln

According to the Kazakh prime minister, thanks to industrial cooperation between both countries 30 joint projects have already been implemented

ASTANA, September 25. /TASS/. Russia and Kazakhstan are currently working on the implementation in the republic of 40 joint projects totally worth over $16 bln, Kazakh Prime Minister Alikhan Smailov said at a plenary session of the Innoprom.Kazakhstan international industrial fair.

"Thanks to industrial cooperation between our countries 30 joint projects have already been implemented in Kazakhstan, and another 40 large projects worth over $16 bln are being implemented," he said.

Innoprom is taking place in Kazakhstan for the first time. It will be held from September 25 to 27. Business Program Director of Innoprom Anton Atrashkin said earlier that 177 Russian companies would take part in the exhibition in Astana, including representatives of large, mid-sized and small business. Around 10,000 people from 20 countries are expected to attend the event.
