EU introduces sanctions against leadership of TASS, VGTRK, Moskovsky Komsomolets

Additionally, the sanctions were introduced against Director General of the St. Petersburg TV Channel Alexander Malkevich and Editor-in-Chief of the National Defense magazine Igor Korotchenko

BRUSSELS, April 8. /TASS/. The European Union has introduced sanctions against the leaders of major Russian media outlets. The sanctions list, published in the Official Journal of the EU on Friday, includes Director of Russia’s State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company (VGTRK) Oleg Dobrodeev, Editor-in-Chief of the Moskovsky Komsomolets newspaper Pavel Gusev as well as TASS Director General Sergey Mikhailov.

Additionally, the sanctions were introduced against Director General of the St. Petersburg TV Channel Alexander Malkevich and Editor-in-Chief of the National Defense (Natsionalnaya Oborona) magazine Igor Korotchenko.

The sanctions include the freezing of assets in the EU and a ban on entering EU countries.
