FSB detains Russian for passing defense industry data to Ukraine's intelligence

MOSCOW, November 14. /TASS/. Russia's Federal Security Service (FSB) has detained a man who passed details about the operations of a defense enterprise to Ukraine's military intelligence service, the FSB Public Relations Center (PRC) announced.

"A Russian citizen born in 2003 was detained on suspicion of committing state treason," the PRC stated. "Under instructions from his handlers, the individual collected and transmitted information, photos, and videos showing the production activities of a defense enterprise in the Central Federal District in exchange for a monetary reward."

According to the FSB, the suspect initiated contact with representatives of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry's Main Intelligence Directorate via the internet. A criminal case has been opened against him under Article 275 of the Russian Criminal Code (state treason), and investigation and search activities are ongoing, the PRC added.
