Ukrainian attack in Bryansk Region diverted attention from Artyomovsk, politician says

On Thursday, Ukrainian saboteurs infiltrated a border district of the Bryansk Region

MELITOPOL, March 2. /TASS/. The actions of Ukrainian saboteurs in the Bryansk Region were supposed to draw attention away from the difficult situation of Ukrainian forces in Artyomovsk (Bakhmut), says Vladimir Rogov, Chairman of the "We are Together with Russia" movement.

"The West needs to rock the situation in Russia and to draw attention away from Artyomovsk. Just today, the Wagner PMC published a video footage of themselves in downtown Artyomovsk. They already have dominating control over this part of the city; they film videos without fear of snipers, mortars or drones. It was clear that the emphasis had to be shifted. This way, no one is talking about Bakhmut, about Ukrainian casualties there - instead, everyone is talking about the events in the Bryansk Region," Rogov told TASS Thursday. "It is a technological attempt to divert attention, and a rather successful one."

On Thursday, Ukrainian saboteurs infiltrated a border district of the Bryansk Region. Russian Federal Security Service confirmed that an operation on their elimination was underway. According to official information, two people were killed, and one child was injured in the incident. Russian President Vladimir Putin, who cancelled his planned trip to Pyatigorsk, called the incident a terror attack.
