Russia features latest stealth surveillance system at Abu Dhabi arms show

The latest system has been engineered and produced by Sozvezdiye Group within Ruselectronics

ABU DHABI, February 20. /TASS/. Ruselectronics Holding Company (part of the state tech corporation Rostec) unveiled a cutting-edge 1K144-E small-size stealth surveillance system at the IDEX 2023 international arms show in Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), acting CEO of Sozvezdiye Group Sergey Vilkov told TASS on Monday.

"In the UAE, we demonstrate the export version of our 1K144-E surveillance and warning system for the first time. Its various sensors ensure maximum authenticity of transmittable data to assess the situation within controlled boundaries," he said.

The 1K144-E is capable of detecting enemy manpower and land equipment, count their number and determine the directions of movement while remaining completely invisible. The system comprises seismic, infrared and magnetometer sensors about 20 cm in size and weighing 150-600 grams, which are camouflaged on terrain and operate continuously for 30 days from an inbuilt power unit. The system can be deployed within five minutes.

The sensor data transmitted through a radio channel appears on an operator’s monitor as an electronic map of terrain with the designated locations of detectors and the targets that they ferret out. The equipment detects moving objects, identifies their type and determines their number and the movement trajectory.

The IDEX 2023 international arms show is running in Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates on February 20-24. Russia’s integrated display stand is accommodated in a separate pavilion where leading Russian defense manufacturers feature over 200 full-scale types of weaponry, military hardware, munitions and combat gear.
