Iranian president, Armenian defense minister discuss bilateral cooperation

The two ministers discussed issues on the international and regional agenda and reached agreements on matters of mutual interest, the ministry noted

YEREVAN, March 7. /TASS/. Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi received visiting Armenian Defense Minister Suren Papikyan to discuss issues of defense cooperation, the Armenian defense ministry said.

"The sides discussed issues of Armenian-Iranian cooperation, including in the sphere of defense. They informed each other about their countries’ approaches to issues of regional security," it said.

Earlier, Papikyan met with his Iranian counterpart, Mohammad-Reza Gharaei Ashtiani. The two ministers discussed issues on the international and regional agenda and reached agreements on matters of mutual interest, the ministry added.
