BRUSSELS, February 21. /TASS/. Only 10% of the 17,000 people polled in 12 European countries think that the Ukrainian conflict will end with Kiev’s victory, according to a poll conducted by the European Council on Foreign Relations (ECFR).
Thus, only 10% of respondents said that Kiev will prevail in the Ukrainian conflict. Twice as many expect Russia to win. Another 37% of those polled said that the conflict will end in a peaceful settlement.
The pollsters noted that Russia’s victory presupposes that Ukraine will not be able to return the territories lost during the special military operation.
A total of 17,023 people from 12 European countries participated: Austria, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Spain and Sweden.
The ECFR was established in 2007. This is the first pan-European think tank with offices in Berlin, London, Madrid, Paris, Rome, Warsaw and Sofia. It conducts research on European foreign and security policy.
