Ukraine received 34 military aid packaged from US this year, Zelensky says

The Ukrainian president thanked the US for the provided aid and expressed his hope for further decisive steps from Washington

MOSCOW, December 28. /TASS/. In the past year, Kiev received over $24 billion in military aid from Washington, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky announced.

"Over the course of this year, the US has provided 34 military aid packages worth over $24 billion," he said on his X page.

He thanked the US for the provided aid and expressed his hope for further decisive steps from Washington.

On Wednesday, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken announced that Washington will provide Kiev with a $250-million military aid package, which will become the last this year. It will include ammunition for NASAMS air defense systems and HIMARS multiple launch rocket systems, Stinger man-portable air defense systems, "components of air defense systems," 105-mm and 155-mm artillery shells, AT-4, TOW and Javelin anti-tank weapons, over 15 million small arms rounds, "obstacle removal explosives," spare parts and other equipment. The US Department of State noted that, since February, 2022, the US provided about $44.3 billion worth of military aid for Ukraine.
