RABAT, December 2. /TASS/. The Rafah checkpoint on the border between the Gaza Strip and Egypt will remain open on Saturday, the Al Jazeera TV channel reported, citing the Gaza administration's press service.
Palestinian officials denied rumors that it would be closed, the channel said.
The WAFA news agency reported, citing the Palestinian Red Crescent Society, that Israel has banned trucks carrying humanitarian aid from entering the Gaza Strip through the Rafah crossing until further notice.
Earlier, the Al Arabiya TV channel quoted a Palestinian official as saying that the Rafah checkpoint would be open only for the transfer of wounded and sick people after the ceasefire.
On the morning of December 1, the Israel Defense Forces accused Hamas of violating the ceasefire and announced the resumption of hostilities in the Gaza Strip.
