ZNPP loses external power supply due to short circuit – IAEA

According to the International Atomic Energy Agency, the cause was a short circuit about 100 km north of the plant

VIENNA, November 26. /TASS/. The Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP) lost external power supply on Sunday, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) said.

"The plant said the 750 kV line is being repaired but it was not clear when it will be reconnected," it said.

According to the IAEA, the cut in the connection to the plant’s only remaining power line was caused by a short circuit. The incident occurred on Sunday morning. "The plant continues to receive external power from its only available 330 kV back-up power line," it added.
