Seven missiles fired at US base near gas field in eastern Syria – report

As reported by Al Mayadeen TV channel, they all achieved their goal, and the occupying forces suffered losses

BEIRUT, November 14. /TASS/. Fighters of the Iraqi Islamic Resistance group fired seven missiles at a US military base near the Koniko gas field in Syria's Deir ez-Zor province, Al Mayadeen television reported.

The report said all of them hit the target and the occupation troops suffered casualties. According to the television channel, helicopters were scrambled immediately after the attack to survey the area around the base in search of the launchers that were used in the attack.

Within this past day, two more US bases came under missile attacks near the Rumailan and Al-Omar oil fields. On November 13, Shiite fighters used kamikaze drones to attack a US base in al-Shaddadi.

All these attacks were carried out in response to US missile strikes on several sites in eastern Syria allegedly used by Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and related groups.

According to the Pentagon, US troops in Syria and Iraq have been attacked about 50 times since October 17. There are 900 US service members stationed in Syria and 2,500 in Iraq.

On November 9, a top member of Iraqi Islamic Resistance told the Al Mayadeen that its fighters "will not stop operations against US military bases until Israel halts its aggression against the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.".
