Ukrainian defense minister briefs US Secretary of Defense about Kiev’s needs

"I informed my American counterpart about the current situation at the front and Ukraine's pressing needs. We discussed concrete steps," Rustem Umerov said

MOSCOW, November 12. /TASS/. Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov has said he held a phone call with his US counterpart Lloyd Austin to discussed the progress of military operations and Kiev's needs.

"I informed my American counterpart about the current situation at the front and Ukraine's pressing needs. We discussed concrete steps," Umerov said on Facebook (banned in Russia as it’s owned by Meta Corporation, which is designated as extremist in Russia).

The Ukrainian said he also minister thanked the US for the air defense systems that were provided to Ukraine.

Austin and Umerov previously spoke by phone on November 4. Then the Ukrainian minister asked for more ammunition.
