HANOI, October 31. /TASS/. Hanoi intends to continue to effectively cooperate with Moscow in all areas, Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh said.
He pointed to "brotherly relationship" between the two countries at a meeting with Russian Interior Minister Vladimir Kolokoltsev in Hanoi.
"Vietnam has always appreciated comprehensive strategic cooperation with Russia as it views Russia as one of its priority partners and wishes to continue practical and effective bilateral cooperation in all areas for the common good of both countries’ people, as well as for the sake of global and regional peace, stability and development," the Vietnamese prime minister emphasized.
He also said that economic and trade cooperation played an important role in bilateral relations. According to Pham Minh Chinh, cooperation in the oil, gas and energy industry is producing "encouraging results."
The two countries should coordinate their activities to expand trade and investment ties in the future and overcome a decline in trade that was recorded in the past few years, the prime minister noted. He also highlighted the need to facilitate cooperation in the fields of education, personnel training, science, technology, cybersecurity and digital transformation.
