Eight people suspected of plotting armed seizure of power detained in Armenia

YEREVAN, September 24. /TASS/. Eight people have been detained in Armenia on suspicion of plotting an armed seizure of power, Armenia’s National Security Service said on Sunday.

"Members of the Crusaders military patriotic public organization reached agreements on the seizure of power by means of the use of weapons and violence hazardous for people’s lives and health," it said.

According to the Service, eight people were detained. Their names were not disclosed. It was not disclosed either what kind of weapons they planned to use but a video posted along with the Service’s press statement features a handgun, a sporting gun, armor vests, and portable radio sets.
