MOSCOW, January 26. /TASS/. President of Iraqi Kurdistan Nechirvan Barzani met with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan Thursday, the Rudaw TV channel reported.
According to the report, the meeting took place in the Turkish capital city of Ankara. The sides are expected to discuss a number of issues that pose mutual interest, including cooperation in trade and economy, as well as the latest changes in the political situation in Iraq.
The fact of the meeting has been confirmed by the office of President Erdogan.
"President Recep Tayyip Erdogan received President of Iraqi Kurdistan Nechirvan Barzani in the Presidential Complex [official presidential residence in Ankara - TASS]," the Office said in a statement, published on its website.
