NEW YORK, October 12. /TASS/. US President Joe Biden believes that the time has come to "rethink" relations between Washington and Riyadh following the OPEC+ decision to cut oil output despite US efforts to prevent this.
In his words, Riyadh was going to face "some consequences for what they’ve done [together] with Russia."
He did not go into details regarding Washington’s possible actions, but assured that the US response would certainly follow.
Earlier, the White House said the OPEC+ decision to cut oil production shows that Saudi Arabia was coordinating its energy policy with Russia.
Countries participating in the OPEC+ agreement extended the deal until the end of 2023 on October 5, and agreed to reduce oil production by 2 mln barrels per day from November.
