Five out of 64 missing people found alive after shopping mall fire in Russia’s Kemerovo

They were not present at the site of the tragic event

MOSCOW, March 26. /TASS/. Five out of 64 people who went missing following a shopping mall fire in the Siberian city of Kemerovo have been found alive, regional police said, adding that they had not been at the shopping center.

"Police officers continue searching for the missing people. Five out of 64 people earlier listed as missing have been found alive, including three underage children, a young woman and a young man. As it turned out, they were not present at the site of the tragic event," the police said in a statement.

A fire in the Zimnyaya Vishnya (or Winter Cherry) shopping mall in Kemerovo occurred on March 25. Emergency workers have wound 53 bodies of fire victims, while 11 people are still unaccounted for. As many as 12 injured have been hospitalized and another 36 received outpatient care.
