Putin approves holding World Youth Festival in Russia once every six years — Kremlin

MOSCOW, April 5. /TASS/. The World Youth Festival in Russia will be held once every six years, as per an official decision from Russian President Vladimir Putin, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters.

The head of the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs Ksenia Razuvayeva reported this decision yesterday.

"Yes, the decision is final. It has been worked out between various departments and approved by the head of state. Indeed; the festival will be held every six years," Peskov responded to a relevant question from TASS.

He added that "smaller events will also be held in certain intervals along these lines and within the general program of work with youth."

The World Youth Festival was held in Sochi in the Sirius federal complex on March 1-7, 2024. The festival was attended by more than 20,000 people from 190 countries. The regional program of the festival took place on March 10-17, its participants visited 30 Russian cities.
