MOSCOW, December 18. /TASS/. The number of children hurt in Ukrainian attacks is growing with at least 270 children killed in the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics (DPR and LPR) since 2014, Russian Health Minister Mikhail Murashko said.
"We would like to note that the number of children injured by Kiev’s actions is growing. <...> As of November 15, 2023, since 2014, in the Donetsk [People’s] Republic, 663 children have sustained wounds of varying degree of severity as a result of shelling attacks and combat. The prevailing diagnoses are mine-blast traumas, gunshot wounds and multisystem injuries. As a result of military actions in the Donetsk [People’s] Republic, 214 children have been killed," he said at a session of a parliamentary commission investigating the Kiev regime’s crimes against minors.
That said, Murashko specified that data may be incomplete because medical aid is provided by different units and statistical information is submitted with delays. "According to the Health Ministry of the Lugansk Region, since 2014 until now, the total number of injured children has amounted to 248, including 191 wounded and 57 killed," he added.
In the Kherson Region, 35 children were injured, including six killed and 10 children were injured in the Zaporozhye Region, the top Russian medical official said.
