Over 9 years of Ukrainian aggression, 1,717 people killed in LPR, republic says

LUGANSK, April 14. /TASS/. Over nine years, 1,717 people, including 52 children, have become victims of Ukrainian aggression in the Lugansk People’s Republic (LPR), the republic’s mission at the Joint Center for Control and Coordination of issues related to Ukrainian war crimes (JCCC) said on its Telegram channel on Friday.

The mission reiterated that on April 14, 2014, Ukraine’s acting president Alexander Turchinov signed a decree on holding a so-called anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine.

"According to the LPR’s mission at the JCCC, over nine years, 2,357 people have become victims of Ukrainian aggression, with 1,717 of them dying and 640 sustaining wounds of various degree of severity. This includes 52 children killed and 42 wounded," the statement noted.

During this time, in the republic, 9,822 residential buildings and 895 civilian infrastructure facilities, including 133 medical and 151 educational institutions have been destroyed and damaged.
