Russian children's rights commissioner accuses Kiev of acting against kids’interests

It is reported that such families receive threats via telephone and social media, while their personal data is made public on the Internet. In addition, Ukraine is putting pressure on those parents whose children were sent on vacation to recreation camps in Russia or have returned from such camps

MOSCOW, April 4. /TASS/. The Ukrainian authorities are acting counter to the interests of children, in particular by refusing to evacuate them from combat zones and using them as human shields, Russian Presidential Commissioner for Children's Rights Maria Lvova-Belova said in a bulletin.

"The work that the children’s rights commissioner and her team are carrying out directly in the zone of the special military operation, communications with children and their parents, and an analysis of press publications make it clear that Ukraine is acting counter to the interests of children. Nothing is being done to evacuate children from danger zones, particularly from areas directly adjacent to ongoing combat operations. Children are being used as human shields for Ukrainian troops and nationalist forces. Ukraine is persecuting Russian families and the Donbass orphans that such families have taken under their care, as well as Russian activists involved in providing humanitarian assistance to children in the country’s new regions,"the bulletin reads.

According to the commissioner, such families receive threats via telephone and social media, while their personal data is made public on the Internet. In addition, Ukraine is putting pressure on those parents whose children were sent on vacation to recreation camps in Russia or have returned from such camps.
