MOSCOW, February 9. /TASS/. The Russian news agency TASS and the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) of Iran have agreed to exchange delegations in the future, the Russian Ministry of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media wrote on its website on Thursday.
The fourth meeting of the Russian-Iranian Media Cooperation Committee was held in Tehran. Sector wide cooperation, joint production of TV films and TV series, professional training courses for journalists were in the focus of attention. "The TASS and IRNA news agencies agreed on the exchange of delegations in the future," the ministry said.
Bella Cherkesova, Deputy Minister of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media, also met with Mohammad Mehdi Ismaili, Iran’s Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance. A memorandum on cooperation on the track of mass communications was signed between their ministries. "This document is meant to become the basis for launching joint media projects between the two countries in the future," the ministry added.
