MOSCOW, October 24. /TASS/. The total eclipse of the Moon will take place on November 8 and will be readily observed in the east of Russia, press service of the Moscow Planetarium told TASS on Monday.
"The total eclipse of the Moon will occur on November 8 with the maximal phase (1.36) at 13:59 pm Moscow time and the duration of almost six hours. The full phase will last for more than an hour," the press service said. "The eclipse will be fully seen in the east of Russia, in the Pacific area, in the west of North American and in the north of Greenland," the Planetarium noted.
Full and partial phases will be observed in all areas where the Moon will be above the horizon from 11:01 am Moscow time to 16:56 pm Moscow time. The best conditions in Russia to see the full phase from the start to the end will evolve in the Far East, the Trans-Baikal region, in North and East Siberia.
