MOSCOW, January 27. /TASS/. Russian human rights commissioner Tatyana Moskalkova and her Ukrainian counterpart Dmitry Lubinets have agreed to facilitate the mutual exchange of lists of heavily wounded persons, who are subject to repatriation, Moskalkova said on her Telegram channel.
The Russian official said she had earlier had a video linkup with the Ukrainian parliament commissioner for human rights. In her words, during the conversation, the sides "agreed to facilitate the exchange of lists of heavily wounded persons, subject to repatriation, and to help relevant bodies in the return of citizens subject to deportation."
"Our cooperation already helped us to solve a number of issues related to reunification of families, identification of missing persons on every side, assistance to prisoner exchanges and mutual return of detained civilians," Moskalkova said.
She went on to say that the growing role of ombudspersons "in such situations" has been proven in practice. At the same time, rights commissioners are doing their best to help people who found themselves in difficult circumstances.
