Russian, Kazakh special services to cooperate closely to fight terrorism

ASTANA, November 27. /TASS/. Russia and Kazakhstan have agreed to actively exchange operational and other information along the lines of special services for uncompromising fight against terrorism, Russian President Vladimir Putin and his Kazakh counterpart Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said in a joint statement adopted after bilateral talks.

"The sides strongly condemned the terrorist acts that occurred on the territory of Russia in 2024 and agreed to maintain close contacts, exchange operational and other information in the line of special services to prevent and uncompromisingly fight terrorism," the statement said.

In addition, Moscow and Astana "will continue comprehensive work in the area of anti-corruption, including the return of illegally acquired assets, as well as the mutual exchange of information."
