Russia’s military-technical cooperation complies with law — senior diplomat

Commenting on US media allegations that Russia wants to buy ballistic missiles from Iran, Sergey Ryabkov said that those who are indulging in such allegations "are zombies who see and hear nothing around them when forcing their way through"

MOSCOW, March 12. /TASS/. Russia is developing military-technical cooperation with foreign countries in strict compliance with law, but fake reports by opponents are likely to continue, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov said.

"Russia’s military-technical cooperation is in strict compliance with our international commitments, our laws and other norms, <…> there are no violations here. The current situation changes nothing in this respect. But be ready that our opponents will continue disseminating such fake news," he said, commenting on US media allegations that Russia wants to buy ballistic missiles from Iran.

He said that those who are indulging in such allegations "are zombies who see and hear nothing around them when forcing their way through." "And there will be no change in their policies," Ryabkov noted. "Demonizing, lies, fact twisting - these are the mildest methods they use in a bid to confront Russia and deal a strategic defeat on it."

"However, we are convinced that our course will win the upper hand, the goals of the special military operation will be attained and our legal cooperation with partners in the global arena will expand. I would like to stress once again - in strict compliance with our commitments," he added.
