Putin says he plans to visit Yakutia soon

MOSCOW, March 12. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin said he plans to visit Yakutia in the near future.

He announced the plan to travel to the region and meet with its head Aysen Nikolayev as he was meeting with the winners of the Leaders of Russia contest.

"As agreed, I will definitely come to you in the near future. In the next few days, in the near future I will be there," Putin told Yakutsk Mayor Yevgeny Grigoryev, the winner of the 2019 Leaders of Russia contest.

The president said he and the head of Yakutia had agreed to discuss "the republic's development plan."

"We will discuss it, outline the main points," Putin said.
