Rise in Russophobia part of global campaign against Russia — Putin

The Russian leder also referred to data from the pollster showing that 96% of Russian citizens view the inter-ethnic harmony in the country as "a huge competitive advantage to the other parts of the world"

MOSCOW, December 14. /TASS/. Russophobia is on the rise as the world continues to stand against Russia, Russian President Vladimir Putin said at the combined Direct Line Q&A session and year-end press conference.

"As regards Russophobia, this is part of the global campaign against Russia," the Russian leader said as he urged efforts to thwart any attempts to destabilize society from within.

Putin also referred to data from the Russian Public Opinion Research Center (VCIOM) pollster showing that 96% of Russian citizens view the inter-ethnic harmony in the country as "a huge competitive advantage to the other parts of the world" as he attributed this to the country’s commitment to traditional values.
