MOSCOW, December 14. /TASS/. Russia’s authorities applaud the public for wanting to help soldiers taking part in the special military operation but the state provides them with 99.9% of what they need, Russian President Vladimir Putin said.
"The state accounts for 99.9% of the effort. But people are doing this (raising aid - TASS) from the heart and we welcome this and will not stop it. I would only like to thank them for this," he said during his combined Direct Line Q&A session and year-end press conference when asked by a Moscow Region resident why the state is not helping soldiers fighting in the special military operation and this is being done by people.
Since the beginning of the special military operation, each Russian region has been contributing to support the Russian military, both at the regional and municipal levels, as well as within individual organizations. Campaigns are being organized to raise humanitarian aid, special clothing, disposables, camouflage nets. Apart from that, people give reconnaissance drones, portable radios, binoculars and other articles that might be used in the zone of combat operations.
Putin repeatedly thanked volunteers for their assistance to the participants in the special military operation and their families.
