BELGOROD, December 14. /TASS/. The Ukrainian military fired more than 50 shells at populated areas of the Belgorod Region over the past 24 hours, and several UAV attacks were carried out, Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov said on his Telegram channel.
Furthermore, three people were injured after their car tripped a mine and exploded.
"The village of Shchetinovka in the Belgorod district came under artillery fire. Three attacks were recorded. Four artillery shells were fired at the village of Solntsevka, two shells were fired at the Nekhoteevka border crossing, while 14 artillery shells were fired at Zhuravlevka. Two explosive devices were also dropped by UAVs in Zhuravlevka and Shchetinovka. No casualties or destruction in any settlements of the district were recorded," he wrote.
The Armed Forces of Ukraine shelled the outskirts of the Lozovaya Rudka farm in the Borisov district with mortar shells with two attacks recorded on Wednesday. In the Volokonovsky district, three and two mortar shells were fired at the outskirts of the village of Novoye and the farming community of Staroye, respectively.
The village of Kozinka came under mortar fire in the Graivoron urban district - two attacks were recorded. Two pieces of shrapnel ammunition were dropped from a UAV on the village of Novaya Tavolzhanka in the Shebekinsky district. "Two UAVs were landed in the rural settlement of Balki and the village of Murom in an act of electronic warfare, each of which subsequently detonated. Eight mortar shells were fired at Belyanka village, one munition was fired at Murom village and two at the farmtown of Mukhin. There were no casualties or damage in any of the settlements of the district," Gladkov said.
On December 13, eight artillery shells were fired on the outskirts of the village of Kolotilovka and one artillery shell on the outskirts of the village of Staroselye. The enemy also dropped one explosive device from a UAV on the outskirts of Staroselye.
The governor reported earlier that a car with civilians inside exploded on a mine near the village of Vysokoye. Three people were injured.
